Recreational Program Description
Rhythmic Stars Recreational Program provides a great introduction to rhythmic gymnastics to girls from 3 years old and older. Gymnasts are introduced to basic elements of rhythmic gymnastics, learn to use rhythmic gymnastics apparatus and develop strength, agility, coordination and flexibility. Skills learned in classes are showcased in at least two annual shows (Summer and Winter). Eligible students from recreational classes may progress to the competitive program.
How big is the typical class at RSGA?We maintain 8 children to 1 coach ration for all our rhythmic gymnastics classes to ensure students receive ample attention during every practice
How old does my child need to be to start classes?Children can start rhythmic gymnastics classes at RSGA as early as 3 years old
I missed a class. Can I schedule a make-up?Yes, students can make-up one class per month for an absence (for example, sickness or family vacations). All make-ups must be scheduled within 4 weeks of the absence. There are no make-ups for any gym holidays because they have already been calculated into the monthly tuition.
What should my child wear to class?Girls should wear black leotards and black shorts. Girls with short hair can have a ponytail. Girls with longer hair should have a bun.
Can I try the class before registering?Yes, we offer a free trial class for all new students. You can request a trial by clicking "Register" in the top right corner of the page.
When is monthly tuition due?Monthly tuition is due before the beginning of the month on the 27th of the prior month. For example, February tuition is due by January 27th. All students who do not pay on time, will receive a late fee of $25. Monthly tuition is non-refundable after student has attended 2 classes.
Is there a discount for siblings?Yes, there is a 10% discount on monthly tuition for rhythmic gymnastics classes for siblings.
Do you offer summer classes?Yes, we offer summer classes for our recreational gymnasts. Check the schedule to register for your class!
Owner and Head Coach of Rhythmic Stars Gymnastics Academy, Varduhi Nahapetyan is a former competitive gymnast and highly regarded coach, who produced numerous State, Regional and National finalists and champions
Marina is a former USAG National Team Member and three times Massachusetts State Champion in Rhythmic Gymnastics. Marina has over 10 years of experience coaching and working with children of all ages.
Melissa has been a professional rhythmic gymnastics coach for 2 years. Prior to that, Melissa was a competitive rhythmic gymnast, competing locally, nationally and internationally for 8 years. During this time, she won numerous state and regional championship titles, along with a national title in 2009.
Sofia is a former professional rhythmic gymnast who competed nationally and internationally, as well as a nationally certified judge 2012-2015.
